Edinburgh College is proud to announce that our BA (Hons) Professional Photography graduate, Nick Millson, has been awarded the prestigious Portrait Photographer 2024 title by the British Photography Awards.
Nick's exceptional talent, honed during his studies at our college, shines through in the winning image, captured during a personal Nike-themed fashion project.
This achievement further solidifies Edinburgh College's reputation for producing world-class photographers.

“There was no concept for this photograph. I was in the studio practising different lighting techniques for my BA Honours project and I ended up capturing a portrait of Emanuel that felt very powerful”.
"I'm feeling really proud and honoured that my four years of hard work as a student at Edinburgh College has been recognised by winning such a prestigious award. Hopefully moments like this can help other students and inspire them to keep pushing. A big thank you to everyone at Edinburgh College Photography (students and lecturers), who have been my support system through the years". Nick Millson
The British Photography Awards run a charity-orientated photography competition, live and virtual galleries, judging panel, global public voting, culminating in a black-tie Awards Gala and upcoming British Photography Roadshow.
It goes without saying, we at Edinburgh College Photography are very proud of Nick’s win, continuing the long line of successful graduates.
