An all-female dream team of Scottish creatives have come together for a striking new multimedia exhibition, opening inside the Ocean Terminal Shopping Centre on 12th August.

Fusing high fantasy, Japanese historic culture and something that echoes a videogame-esque character design vibe, the collection features the otherworldly creations of Anna Wade, a hair and wig designer hailing from the west of Scotland. With a background in bridal styling, Anna turns her hand to art fashion in this unique series of images, with the help of her talented team: Edinburgh-based commercial makeup artist Paulina Siembor, Highland-raised fashion photographer Jodie Mann, and local designers Danni McWilliams and Michelle Watson.

Along with the finished photo-digital images, viewers will also get the chance to see the costumes and wigs from the original photoshoot on display, as well as concept sketches by Anna Wade.

The team aims not only to showcase the fruits of their creative collaboration and encourage others to be inspired by this, but also to pay homage to the strength and power of female warrior figures in history and mythology.

‘ONNA BUGEISHA’ opens in the evening on 12th August at Ocean Terminal - admission is free. Refreshments will be available and attendees will have a chance to meet the artists. The collection will be on display throughout August.
