The Photography Team at Edinburgh College Sighthill are delighted to announce our call for applications for our 2017-18 Photographer & Curator in Residence (PIR) programme.
We are looking for a photographer to contribute to one of the country’s most successful and dynamic Photography Departments.
The Photographer & Curator Residence programme is an innovative scheme which provides recently graduated / professional photographers who have previously studied a Photography course with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and experience in Photography education & Exhibition Curation while developing their creative practice in house.

Access to specialist facilities
Access to specialist equipment
Connections with local communities
Educational experience: developing and leading student exhibitions at the Creative Exchange, 3 x workshops that includes documented dialogue with students, and evaluative input into creative curriculum possibilities.
Facilitating Lecturers in internal and external Exhibitions printing and hanging of students or another equivalent showcase of work.
Own exhibition of work at the Creative Exchange.
Please note that although these residencies are not paid positions a budget of £500 is available for each residency to cover project delivery, travel and exhibition costs. Successful applicants will also have access to a range of additional benefits including:

Eligibility:
PIR (Photographer & Curator) accepts applications from practicing photographers who meet the following criteria:
Graduated from one of the following courses at Edinburgh College
BA Photography HND Photography,
Recently graduated (within the last 5 Years) from a recognized Degree course
Demonstrated a professional level of commitment and achievement within Photography
Applications from individuals who do not meet the criteria as stated above will not be considered for the PIR programme.

In the 2017-2018 June 2017 – June 2018
